Edau Kheeurag in Wounaan language means twilight. The Wounaan are an indigenous ethnic group living along the San Juan river in Colombia. They have suffered the sword of the conquerors, the demonization of the Catholic church, the bullets of the armed groups and the looting of the multinationals. However, the Wounaan always arise from the darkness with the light of the ancient wisdom, the power of life in community and the right on its territory. The twilight represents the nostalgia and uncertainty, but also the future of a new glow. The photographic project Edau Kheeurag explores this transition from the day until the night like metaphor of the memory of the people Wounaan.
